The Georgia College Early College (GCEC) program was established in the 2006-2007 academic year. It aims to provide students, who might not otherwise have the opportunity or resources, with the possibility of attending college. GCEC is a joint initiative involving Georgia College, Baldwin County School District, Putnam County School District, and the Oconee Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA). It serves students from grades six through twelve, taught by highly qualified educators. For the 2024-2025 enrollment period, GCEC includes 156 middle school students and 220 high school students. Students have the opportunity to engage in various GCEC clubs and activities and can also participate in clubs, sports, and activities at their respective home schools.
